Origami Election Headquarters ‘08
Hello folks,
Like the cool sounding title? Just thought I’d put my input regarding your upcoming election. I will not be voting of course since I’m not American. I’d like to thank for CNN for tabulating and providing all election materials for Origami.
Check them out for all your ‘08 political needs. How’s that for a nice endorsement?
Taking into account the winner needs 2.025 to win the nomination. The current scores stand at;
DEMOCRATS
John Edwards is not much of a competitor since he’s been consistently 3rd in all things. I don’t like Edwards he strikes me as a typical rich white man who thinks he knows the poor of this country and that he has the will or the power to change things. But the truth is, he could care less about the middle & poverty classes and he’s certainly not going to be able to change things as long as the CEO’s want it the way it is.
No chance Eddie, ain’t gonna happen.
This Obama-Hillary thing is quite annoying as well, I don’t like either candidate. I suppose Obama had a dream to be the first black president and now I think it’s becoming a “dick” thing as a female proves to be a tougher challenge than he originally thought.
His length of time as a politician and short record also says to me “not experienced enough” one of my chief complaints against “Dubya.” It does happen on both sides people. I think Obama needs to wait 8 years and then he can run for President.
Finally we have the first real female contender for president and unfortunately it’s Hillary Clinton. If there is an Almighty up in Heaven, he’s got a twisted sense of humour.
Everyone knows that Hillary has had a 20 year plan to make it in the history books and we all know the Clintons would love to run the White House for another 8 years. The Clintons are the epitome of what’s wrong with politics. Win at all costs! Destroy your enemies! Remember to clean the sheets!
Bush is an idiot at the beck and call of the oil interests, but he’s just a puppet. The Clintons are actually the evil masterminds of their own destiny and their past speaks volumes. Why would anyone want them to be controlling the most powerful nation on Earth is beyond me?
Besides giving Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter someone to complain about, for at least 4 years, I’m not too keen on her winning.
All the other candidates I won’t even mention since it’s now time for them to realize it AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN. Kucinich that means you! One vote means nothing at this point.
REPUBLICANS
The current scores for the GOP stands at;
Sadly the only one I’d even consider voting for has only 6 delegates on his scorecard. I’m talking about my man, Fred Thompson, the one Republican I trust and respect.
Don’t like Romney since he strikes me as too wanting of the job. He’s campaigning too hard for the job and after such failures in Iowa and New Hampshire you could see that desperation both from his camp and of course the media who wants to ratchet up the drama.
Never even heard of this Huckabee dude until he got some votes to Iowa. I won’t comment on him too much except that if by some miracle he wins the nomination, there’s no chance in Hades that he’d win the national election.
And finally McCain, good ol’ McCain. The one man I used to like as a GOP member, but has since become the lying, side-stepping, flip-flopping schmuck I suspected he always was. After getting thrashed by the juggernaut which was George “Dubya” Bush in 2000, he realized that a man of his limited right mindedness would never win the nomination with the Christian element so much a staple in the Republican party.
So what does he do for the next election? McCain changes his mind on all that he thinks and feels because he wants the job even more than Romney. After seeing how much fun Bush had starting wars and taking away the public’s rights with new and exciting laws, McCain is chomping at the bit to get in the Oval Office.
For that turnabout face I have lost all respect for the man and would vote Clinton into office before him. I may never have liked the Clintons but that hasn’t changed. McCain I did like, respect and admire and so he’s far more dangerous to me.
Anyway, that’s all for now regarding election coverage.
I bid adieu,
your Origami reporter,
L.Manly
