Origami Election Headquarters ‘08 - Update!
Hello all,
Just a little update on the upcoming election.
South Carolina Primary is coming close for Democrats. Senators Barack Obama (D-Illinois) and Hillary Clinton (D- New York) are still sniping at each other and I’m enjoying it.
Former President Bill Clinton is also joining the fray (in support of his wife, I think) as reported by the Associated Press, saying about voting along racial and gender lines;
“…is understandable because people are proud when someone who they identify with emerges for the first time…”
Let’s hope slick Willie can do his thing again.
Former Senator John Edwards is…hell no one knows where he is or where he’s going. All we know is that when he gets there, he’ll be in third place.
After my official endorsement former Senator and actor Fred Thompson dropped out of the race. I am quite sad now. Hopefully NBC will take him back, he’s just a cool guy to watch. While he hasn’t officially endorsed any other candidate CNN reports that Thompson supporters are most likely to turn to Romney.
Rudy Giuliani had dropped to third place in the Florida polls, behind front-runners McCain and Romney while struggling against Huckabee. Poor Rudy, he should show a little dignity and drop out finally. Just because he was mayor during a national disaster, it doesn’t mean he’s ready to be President. Maybe a try at governor or Senator first.
Speaking of Huckabee, his war chest is reported to being a little depleted and his second place finish in South Carolina and poll dropping numbers in Florida is apparently stalling his bid. I think maybe it’s time for Huckabee to join Mr. Thompson and Mr. Giuliani on the side lines, if he’s lucky he’ll get a cabinet posting.
One final bit of reporting:
Would the following gentlemen raise their hands and then head for the nearest exit, your bid for the Presidential nomination is officially over;
“Ron Paul.”
“Dennis Kucinich.”
“Mike Gravel.”
Thank you and I bid adieu,
your Origami reporter,
L.Manly
