Origami Election Headquarters ‘08 - Update!
Hello everyone,
Super Tuesday is fast approaching and the media is again subtlely declaring victory for Barack Obama since the majority of the Liberal media have decided we need a black president more than we need a woman president.
Personally my opinion is: Choose the candidate who is better qualified and has more experience. Just because Dennis Haysbert was so damn cool as President David Palmer on 24, it doesn’t mean Obama will be as equally cool.
Nothing against actor D.B. Woodside, but his turn as President Wayne Palmer in Season 6 was sort of like a shadow of the previous Commander-In-Chief. Maybe that’s what the producers wanted, to make Wayne seem less powerful than the ghostly presence of older brother David.
So right there, being black doesn’t automatically make it seem like you’re going to be an awesome cool president. I’ll bet quite a few blacks could be totally lame as president. A black William Henry Harrison who croaks after 40 days or so. How about a black Nixon who’s a crook? Or a black Harding who accomplishes nothing?
The media really needs to try and stop from reducing the presidency of the most powerful nation to American Idol for politics. Who wants to elect a President!? on Fox.
Here’s a little snippet from CNN:
“Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton is losing ground to Sen. Barack Obama in a national CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released on the eve of critical Super Tuesday presidential primaries and caucuses.
Obama, who trounced Clinton in January’s South Carolina primary, garnered 49 percent of registered Democrats in Monday’s poll, while Clinton trailed by just three points, a gap well within the survey’s 4.5 percentage point margin of error.”
Obama “trounced” Clinton in South Carolina? WTF?
ALL THE BLACKS VOTED FOR THE BLACK GUY! When does that qualify as a trouncing when the racial politics of the situation gave Obama a major advantage. Not that whitey wouldn’t do the same for Hillary if given the chance. But that hasn’t even happened, not even when she won New Hampshire. And after that win did the press say that she kicked Obama’s ***? No! They said:
“In a startling upset, Hillary Rodham Clinton has won New Hampshire’s Democratic primary, defeating Barack Obama and resurrecting her bid for the White House.”
Or:
“Hillary Clinton has defied the polls, pundits and even her own expectations by winning a narrow but crucial victory over her chief rival for the Democratic nomination, Barack Obama, in the New Hampshire primary.”
Or:
“Solid support from registered Democrats and women in New Hampshire were crucial Tuesday as Sen. Hillary Clinton rebounded from her third-place finish in last week’s Iowa caucuses.
She narrowly defeated Sen. Barack Obama in the New Hampshire primary, with 39 percent of the vote to Obama’s 37.”
This next article comes from Politico by Bill Nichols and his bias is ever so evident:
“New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton defied expectations and defeated Illinois Sen. Barack Obama on Tuesday in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary, while Arizona Sen. John McCain cruised to victory over Mitt Romney.
Clinton’s win marked a stunning upset, given the seeming downward spiral of her campaign after last week’s loss in Iowa and gloomy polls that unanimously predicted a crushing Obama victory. Senior officials in her campaign appeared resigned to a loss throughout the day and were ecstatic at their unexpected change of fortune, which resurrected Clinton’s hopes for the White House.”
I suppose since more white people voted for Obama in that case, she didn’t defeat him, Hillary merely survived to see another day.
And of course after winning South Carolina, Obama began to get the endorsements. CNN again reported:
“‘Coming out of his overwhelming victory in South Carolina and followed quickly by his Kennedy family endorsements, Obama clearly has the momentum in this campaign,’ said Bill Schneider, CNN’s senior political analyst. “
“Obama has won support from Sen. Edward Kennedy and his nieces Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and Maria Shriver, although Clinton has endorsements from former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, the daughter of Robert Kennedy, and her brother Bobby Kennedy and sister Kerry.”
Wow! The support of a political dynasty that ended 40 years ago, quite impressive. The days of Camelot have been dying a slow death and with the unfortunate death of JFK jr. dreams of political glory are gone.
Question…If this gives Obama any momentum then why doesn’t it also give the same momentum to Hillary? Is Ted, Caroline and Maria the upper echelon of Kennedy-dom? Is Kathleen, Bobby and Kerry less important Kennedys?
I, for one, would not be happy to be running for president and have the support of a family of rapists, adulterers and political has-been f**k-ups like the Kennedy’s. I’d be more willing to run on my own and let people choose me on my own merits.
Another important point, the Clintons are a family of rapists (alledgely) adulterers (proven) and political opportunists (one difference) so why the big hoopla with this deal for Obama? Obama had to import them into his campaign and Hillary had them from the start. His Kennedy clan are newly adopted and Hillary’s is merely back-up.
The funny thing about all this is:
I really, really, really don’t like Hillary Clinton and I don’t Slick Willie (beyond the oozy charisma he carries) and here is the media demanding that I support Obama. Well it ain’t gonna happen now. I really hate being told who I should vote for and so I’m going to do the childish thing and publicly endorse Hillary Clinton for President.
I HEARBY ENDORSE HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!!
That’s it! Thank you liberal media for helping me to decide whom I want as my president. I wish the Senator luck tomorrow and let’s take it home Hillary!!
I bid adieu,
your Origami reporter,
L.Manly
