Dying to get in, killing while here
Hello All,
A tragedy caught my eye the other day from San Francisco and yes, my conservative immigration policy will be at play here. This man to the right is one Mayor Gavin Newsom, top dog of the aforementioned city of San Francisco and in April, 2008 he declared his town a sancutary city.
Just this week one Edwin Ramos got into a traffic tiff with a man named Anthony Bologna and decided the most civilized way to settle the dispute was with an AK-47. Anthony Bologna, 49, and his two sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16, were killed.
Oh boy! Mayor Newsom is re-thinking this whole policy right about now I’d bet. Ramos is of course an illegal immigrant from El Salvador and to drop a cherry on the sundae, he’s reputed to be a member of the Mara Salvatrucha gang, also known as MS-13.
A little info on the gang; It was formed in Los Angeles in the 1980s by Salvadoran immigrants as a means to protect Salvadoran immigrants from established gangs in Los Angeles, who as many know comprised of Mexicans or African-Americans. Interesting that all the white gangs seemed to have folded their tents and turned away from crime; and no the Nazi gangs don’t count their goal is (a white) world domination.
For this reason, MS-13 allowed only Salvadorans to join, but later other Central Americans were welcomed into the fold. Due to the fact that the authorities have been deporting Mara Salvatrucha members back to their countries of origin, recruitment in those countries have resulted in more members. Liberal media of course blame our government for this, I blame the authorities of several Central American countries for not cracking down on this criminal activity.
And with the current immigration policy as it is, members of this ruthless gang walk back and forth across the border and kill American citizens over something as trivial as a traffic dispute. The higher-ups in SF having been taking heat for their actions, especially since Ramos has twice been convicted but his legal status here left unchanged for Newsom’s leftish militant bleeding heart liberal views. (Newsom has rescinded such thinking he claims) Ramos’ lawyer claims that his client is both a legal citizen of the United States and he’s not the shooter.
Lucky him. Ramos was having a bad day up until that point.
Myself I don’t care if he’s the shooter or not, that’s for the jury to decide. The Federal Authorities claim that Ramos is undocumented and that’s good enough for me. SEND HIM BACK!! No wait, put him to death for killing three innocent people and then send the body back to El Salvador. (Assuming he’s convicted of course, he has the right to a fair trial.)
I’m not American, so perhaps it’s none of my business. Do I have a stake in this issue? I think so, since my daughter was born here in Texas and I’m looking to create a future here. The funny thing is, my wife and I decided to do immigration the unusual way; legally. My wife is so scared that I’ll be deported in fact, that she’s even afraid to do it legally and is constantly second guessing her ability to fill out these forms. I try to tell her that things will work out right, that I’m a good person and the U.S. Government has no reason to turn me down.
I understand the desire to come here for a better life, but those from another land need to accept there are rules. The criminals and terrorists who intend to attack or steal the American dream have no incentive to come here by any other channel other than illegally. And these people ruin it for the rest of us.
But that doesn’t excuse the honest working Mexican who pays a smuggler $25,000.00 to get him across the border. That man is now a criminal and he should be dealt with as such. And yes I mean mass deportations. Send them all back. That’s my solution. I know I’m very draconian at times, but this has effected me and so I’m not very compassionate.
When my wife and I came across the border last October, the guard treated us like criminals, warned us our intentions were “dangerous” and he even searched my wife’s laptop. Yes, I do blame Al-Qaeda for picking a fight with Dubya which has lead to the Patriot Act. But that’s a different issue for another time. Because of other men and women who feel their above the law or simply are too afraid to try out the law, I and so many others must deal with the consequences.
Deport them is my answer. Perhaps build a fence too.
