Origami Election Headquarters ‘08 - Obama chooses to lose!

Hello again everybody,

    A major update on things are in order. The so called veepstakes is all the rage in the news and God do I hate that lame a** term.

So many different names were going around but the choice has been made. Obama said to himself, I want to win the White House, I want to be President and I am dropping in the polls. So I shall make the choice that guarantees my failure in November’s election.

Presidential Failure Senator Barack Obama (D) has selected the Senator from Delaware Joe Biden (D).

That’s all she wrote folks!

John McCain should be very happy right now. He’s going to be the next president and no matter how much bulls**t spin the dems put on this choice, their boy* will not win. He will not get back on track, his poll numbers will not go back up, he’s D.O.A., Dead On Arrival.

*- Is not meant to be a derogatory racial remark. I use “boy” as in democratic candidate, hopeful champion. THE ONE.

    First we should analyze the situation and the new running mate of Mr. Obama. Senator Joe Biden (D-Delaware) is described by CNN’s bio page as;

“The lawyer is serving his sixth term as U.S. senator from Delaware, and once ran for president in 1988.”

So I infer from that statement, Senator Biden is both a lawyer and a politician and failed twice to receive the nomination from his party. Wow! He seems as right for the job as Obama does.

In the case of this year’s primary he came in fifth before dropping out with no delegates or super-delegates to his name. His message got out to many people in his party it would appear. As for his occupations, well do you trust him?

I have two words for you if you say yes; JOHN EDWARDS.

    Next, let us discuss the purely superficial aspect to this ticket. Obama-Biden ‘08 does not roll off the tongue without doing some damage. It sounds quite ridiculous actually, didn’t anyone pick that up. Does Barack have an ad man or two in his campaign headquarters? Obama-Biden sounds like a disease to me.

Man: “Honey I just went to the doctor today for my annual check-up.”

Woman: “Well what did he say?”

Man: “It’s not good dear. I have Obamabiden syndrome.”

Woman: “Oh no, what does that mean?”

Man: “Well, I’ll suffer from delusions of grandeur, develop a need to hate being a white guy, lose my ability to reach the common folk, develop a Moses complex and finally make real bad choices.”

Woman: “That sucks.”

No one will be able to say the name of this ticket with a straight face, I’m telling you.

    Okay let’s talk about the business of politics. Biden’s from the state of Delaware and Obama won that state in the primary so Biden brings nothing to the table other than his 35 year history in Washington. Which is actually a con and not a pro because in selecting Mr. Biden, Obama has effectively cut himself short by indirectly telling the world that Biden is the experience you want and the experience I don’t have as your newly elected president.

And in fact Obama said just that; “Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama introduced Sen. Joe Biden to the nation as his running mate on Saturday, telling supporters he is ‘a leader who is ready to step in and be president.’”

Yeah that’s encouraging! Obama is already undermining his position claiming his VP is ready to do Obama’s job if the need arrives. But we all know Obama’s not the brightest bulb in Washington. He’s the gifted orator who can’t piece two sentences together without cue cards and a teleprompter.

One might assume that Hillary Clinton didn’t have a chance as VP, what with her impressively vigorous attacks on Obama during the primary. The two were quite the opponents and we all enjoyed them going at it. But all good things must come to an end and the media, uh I mean Obama proved the victor. Oil and water, they said. They will clash, they will butt heads, Clinton will overshadow him everyone said.

So Hillary is out and Biden is the guy. He’s not Clinton and he’s a perfect running mate. But…

This quote comes from the McCain camp who were effectively smart to be ready to fire a salvo;

“‘There has been no harsher critic of Barack Obama’s lack of experience than Joe Biden,’ the McCain campaign spokesman Ben Porritt gave in a written statement.

And that is quite true, during the primary (when Biden was still in it of course) he attacked Obama with the best of them. Here’s a quote Obama wishes his number two never said;

“‘Who among us is going to be able on Day One to step in and end the war? Who among us understands what to do about Pakistan? Who among us is going to pick up the phone and immediately interface with Putin and tell him to lay off Georgia because Saakashvili is in real trouble. Who among us knows what they’re doing? I have 35 years of experience.”

Jeez from the sound of that, it seems that Biden doesn’t think Obama truly has what’s needed to sit in the big chair. Wait a second…It almost sounds like Hillary is his running mate.

That’s funny, Obama gets all the grief of the Clinton effect with none of the perks. No swing states, no women voters, no disenfranchised poor people hoping for another magical Clinton windfall. Too bad Obama.

    What do Clinton supporters think? Well according to media sources, Obama’s general snub of the dragon lady has numerous members of her circle angry and those who wanted Obama to show her even the slightest amount of respect received none of that. No phone calls, no short list, not even a consultation on who might be better at the job than she.

Say goodbye to the White House. Obama f**ked up bad. He’s going to lose. I’d bet all that I am and have to that effect.

I bid adieu,

your Origami reporter,
L.Manly
