Origami Election Headquarters ‘08 - McCain “Smart MoFo”
This just in…
As quickly as Obama killed his chances in winning the 2008 presidential election, John McCain has just made his win a sure thing with a cunning and clever move. The good Senator, earlier today, announced his pick for a running mate;
The Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin.
Who is that, you are asking.
It doesn’t matter. We’ll get to know her soon enough and she is a brilliant choice. In the same way Obama’s pick for VP has shown his own personal weaknesses, McCain has overshadowed that announcement and sniped Obama as the progressive.
Sure this Palin has zero foreign policy experience, what with being a mother of five in the frozen tundra, then a Mayor and now a Governor, who has time to give a s**t about the rest of the world. Regardless of that Palin has proven her political chops in just a few short years and her lack of experience can only remind those in the Obama camp that if she’s not prepared, then neither is The One.
Let’s check out these points;
1. McCain-Palin ‘08 doesn’t sound bad phoentically.
2. Palin’s oldest son Track is in the U.S. Army and about to head off to Iraq.
3. Palin is a good anti-abortion, pro-gun conservative who will please those on the fence about the Mickster.
4. Hillary Clinton should really have been the VP choice for the democrats, but they are too stupid to realize.
So much can change in so little time.
Don’t get me wrong, I still hate McCain and I won’t vote for him. But he’s got a little of my respect back for being a shrewd mofo. Seeing that disenfranchised Hillary supporters might turn his way, as well as numerous independents, McCain has only himself to screw it up now. Short of God himself coming down from the heavens and declaring Obama as His personal choice, there is no chance in Hell that the Messiah - uh, two bit huckster politician will get elected.
Wow! I am so excited to see how this turns out. We have a lot of “firsts” going on in this election. The first time a black man is a Presidential candidate, the first time a woman will become Vice-President and the first time that I’m rooting for the Republican ticket.
I bid adieu,
your Origami reporter,
L.Manly
